Refund Policy

Effective / last updated: June 1, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes are handled for paid features on TuringStats (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including website memberships and the Ask multiple AI at once council panel. It should be read together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1. Free services

Many TuringStats features are free, including browsing match forecasts, the accuracy leaderboard, and a limited number of AI panel questions per day on the Free plan. No payment is required for those features, so no refund applies.

2. Paid plans and billing status

We offer paid membership tiers (such as Pro and Elite) described on our Pricing page. Online checkout may not be available in all regions or at all times. When billing is marked “coming soon,” you cannot be charged through the website until we enable a payment processor and update this policy if needed.

If your plan was upgraded manually by our team (for testing, support, or a promotional grant), that access is provided at our discretion unless we confirm a separate paid transaction in writing.

3. General refund principle

TuringStats provides digital services that begin or continue as soon as your membership is active (e.g. higher AI panel limits, priority processing where offered). Except where the law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started, including if you do not use the service during that period.

4. Subscriptions

When online subscriptions are available:

  • Monthly plans renew automatically each month until you cancel.
  • Cancellation stops future charges; it does not retroactively refund the current month unless section 5 applies.
  • After cancellation, you typically retain paid features until the end of the paid period already invoiced.
  • We may change plan prices or features with notice as described in our Terms of Use; changes apply to future billing cycles.

5. When we may issue a refund

We may approve a full or partial refund at our sole discretion, or where required by law, in situations such as:

  • Duplicate charge — you were billed twice for the same plan and period;
  • Unauthorized charge — you did not authorize the payment and report it promptly with supporting details;
  • Technical failure on our side — a verified outage or defect prevented meaningful use of a paid feature for a substantial part of the billing period, and we cannot restore access within a reasonable time;
  • Statutory rights — mandatory consumer protections in your country (e.g. certain EU/UK cooling-off rules) apply and cannot be waived where prohibited.

We generally do not refund because you disagree with an AI model’s answer, because forecasts were incorrect, because you forgot to cancel before renewal, or because third-party AI providers changed availability.

6. How to request a refund

Contact us within 14 days of the charge (or sooner if your card issuer requires it) with:

  • The email address on your TuringStats account;
  • Date and amount of the charge;
  • Last four digits or payment reference from your receipt, if available;
  • A brief explanation of the issue.

Email: [email protected] · Contact form

We aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method when possible; timing depends on your bank or card network (often 5–10 business days).

7. Chargebacks and disputes

If you dispute a charge with your bank or payment provider without contacting us first, we may suspend your account while the dispute is investigated. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent termination of access.

8. App Store purchases

If you subscribe through the Apple App Store (when offered), billing and refunds are governed by Apple’s policies. Request refunds through Apple; we cannot override App Store billing decisions.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of paid features after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
