The headline surprise came in the KBO, where Doosan Bears and Kiwoom Heroes finished 6-6. All ten models had picked Doosan, with an average confidence of 72% and a most common scoreline of 6-2. The other unanimous defeat arrived in the NPB, where Yokohama BayStars lost 1-3 to Yakult Swallows despite a 100% consensus and a 64% average confidence.
Friday's 14-fixture slate produced a 7 of 14 return for the ten-model consensus.
Where the AI got it right
Lotte Giants vs NC Dinos prediction: 90% of models backed Lotte and were rewarded with a 9-6 Giants win. The most common scoreline of 6-4 undersold the run total, but the side was right and the average confidence sat at 60%.
Hanwha Eagles vs Samsung Lions prediction: a unanimous Samsung pick landed comfortably, the Lions winning 10-4 against a most common scoreline of 4-6 and a modest 59% average confidence. One of two KBO calls the panel got right on the day.
Cleveland Guardians vs Athletics prediction: all ten models took Cleveland at 59% average confidence with 6-4 as the favoured score. The Guardians delivered a 5-3 win, a tighter game than the panel expected but the correct result.
Tampa Bay Rays vs Boston Red Sox prediction: a second unanimous MLB call, Boston backed by 100% of models at 60% average confidence, most common score 3-5. The Red Sox won 4-2 — the margin one run off the modal line.
New York Mets vs Philadelphia Phillies prediction: 90% of models picked the Mets at 57% average confidence, most common score 4-3. The Mets won 6-3, a more comfortable night than the consensus dared to project.
Where it got it wrong
The heaviest miss was Doosan Bears vs Kiwoom Heroes prediction. A 100% consensus, 72% average confidence and a modal 6-2 scoreline produced nothing of the sort: the game ended 6-6. It is the clearest example this season of a unanimous panel being wiped out by a single result.
The second unanimous failure came in the NPB, where Yokohama BayStars vs Yakult Swallows prediction saw all ten models take Yokohama at 64% average confidence, most common score 6-3. Yakult won 3-1, and the BayStars never approached the projected run line.
Three further MLB calls went the same way. Texas Rangers vs Boston Red Sox prediction drew 80% support for Texas at 56% average confidence, most common score 5-4; Boston won 4-3. Los Angeles Angels vs Minnesota Twins prediction had 80% of models on Minnesota at 58% confidence with a 5-6 modal score; the Angels won 5-4. And Baltimore Orioles vs Milwaukee Brewers prediction saw 90% on Baltimore at 57% confidence, most common score 5-4; Milwaukee won 6-5.
Two more were lost in the KBO and one in MLB. KT Wiz Suwon vs LG Twins prediction had 90% on KT Wiz at 59% confidence and a 6-4 modal line; LG Twins won 12-1. Chicago White Sox vs Detroit Tigers prediction drew 90% for the White Sox at 58% confidence, most common score 6-4; Detroit won 11-8. The one genuinely close miss was Hanshin Tigers vs Hiroshima Carp prediction — but that one was called correctly, 60% of models backing Hanshin at 57% average confidence for a 2-1 win, the thinnest consensus of the day and one of its better returns.

The bottom of the table was shared by Mistral Medium 3.5 and DeepSeek V4 Pro, each on 6 of 14 — one result worse than the panel average and two behind the day's best.
